Prologis retained Professional Roof Consultants, Inc. to assist with the final design and oversee the implementation of Phase III of the largest rooftop solar system in the Pacific Northwest generating 2.4 MW over 900,000 square feet of roof area generating enough energy to power nearly 400 homes.  Spread over seven buildings owned and operated by Prologis, a single ply membrane was installed over the existing roof membranes to serve as the foundation for the thin film laminated flexible photovoltaic collectors.  PRC provided quality assurance inspections for the roofing and PV installation as the thin film panelized arrays overlay and attach to the roof membrane making correction of installation defects difficult and costly.   Shortly after completion the IRS denied tax credits for the project at which point our firm provided instrumental avocation to the IRS as part of PGE’s successful appeal.
