Project Details

This project was executed in two phases.  The first phase focused upon updating the information for the Portland International Airport in the Port of Portland's Roof Management Program.  This program provides in depth information to the Port with regard to their current roof assemblies, including the following:  identifies existing roof system and characteristics, establishes benchmark conditions of each roof area surveyed, identifies problematic conditions and defects, determines when repair and/or replacement of the existing roof system will be required, establishes an appropriate range of repair and/or replacement strategies, assesses remaining service life, and establishes budgetary cost estimates for recommended actions.  Information collected and analyzed was incorporated into report format and submitted to the Port for their records.  The second phase of this project involved taking the most critical roof-related concerns and deficiencies identified in the report and preparing bid-quality construction documents for repair action.  This repair project included complete overlay of the airport’s South Node.  PRC’s scope of work included design, bidding and construction administration services, including submittal review, and QA/QC periodic inspections.
