| Project Description:
In 2008, the East Portland Community Center received an aquatics addition. PRC was retained during construction to advise and assist with detail design for moisture control of roofs and walls, and QA/QC during construction. The aquatics addition was designed with an insulated, pitched metal roof over acoustical metal decking. The double pitched, "winged" roof design utilizes custom details, a vapor barrier that ties directly into the remainder of the building envelope, and is designed to incorporate a photovoltaic system.
