Whether a new building that is being designed, or an existing building that may be altered, it is an undeniable fact that the foundation of the building sits within the ground. Most definitions of waterproofing describe components of a building that lie beneath some type of overburden, whether it be earth / fill at the base of the building, or terrace overburden over a buried portion of the building. These portions of a building require protection since – in all likelihood – they will be under the influence of a hydrostatic head of water. Applications that will not be under the influence of a head of water would require – by definition – a dampproofing assembly. With all of the products that are on the market today, it is important to understand what works well, and where.

Professional Roof Consultants, Inc. specializes in designing systems and assemblies that are watertight below grade. We understand water - how it moves, and how it behaves - how to properly evacuate it – even when buried. Whether it is new construction or modifications to an existing building, PRC provides specialty services in the form of design review for clients that include building owners, developers, architects, engineers, general contractors, and sub-contractors.

The goal of Professional Roof Consultants, Inc. is to provide design review services that provide our clients with educated solutions to sometimes difficult and complex waterproofing designs. These include:
