PRC was retained by Evergreen Public Schools to evaluate moisture intrusion issues associated with the building envelope that covers the relatively new Heritage High School in Vancouver, Washington. Upon completion of exterior evaluation and leak testing at two window and door entrance assemblies, Evergreen Public Schools requested that the scope of work be expanded to include design and QA/QC inspection services.
Based upon PRC’s evaluation and leak testing, a number of points of moisture intrusion were identified. PRC put together a set of drawings that included removal and reinstallation of the existing window and metal wall panel assemblies, replacement of old and improperly sealed joints, installation of new sill pans and flashing, and provided direction for the proper weatherlapping of building envelope materials.
During construction, PRC was retained by the school district to provide quality assurance and quality control inspection services (QA/QC).
