The Owner and Architect agreed to retain Professional Roof Consultants, Inc. to provide their specialized technical review of the construction documents during their development for the purpose of refining system selections and detail development.  This project is one of the most complex high school designs driven by the need to satisfy the stringent City of Sandy design requirements which goes so far as to regulate roof materials; natural lighting to improve learning environments and reduce energy consumption, the incorporation of state required solar systems, and rooftop water retention gardens.  PRC worked with the design team to reconfigure roof and wall intersections to conform to system limitations with the end result being long-term high performance assemblies requiring minimal maintenance efforts and cost.  PRC also was retained to perform fall hazard and roof accessibility analyses and produce bidding documents for fall protection systems.
